Abstract

This article describes the results of field and laboratory studies on the main physical properties of irrigated meadow-alluvial soils in the Nukus district, i.e. the volume weight, specific weight, and porosity of the soil. The obtained results showed that the general physical properties of irrigated meadow-alluvial soils in the Nukus district changed under the influence of their degradation processes, which affected soil fertility and physical properties. The physical properties of the soil have a major impact on the nutrient, water, air, salt and biological regimes in the soil and on the productivity of agricultural crops.
