Esters and Fatty acids from Pleurospermumdensiflorum

Abstract

 

Esters and fatty acids have been isolated from the Petroleum ether, benzene and chloroform fraction of the areal parts of pleurospermumdensiflorum and identified by means of 1HNMR, 13CNMR, Mass spectral data as well as by hydrolytic studies. Two linear Furanocoumarins, Psoralen and bergapten along with b-Sitosterol have been identified. Bergabten has been found to be present as a major constituent.
